At New Philadelphia Moravian Preschool, we are a half day program that focuses on engaging children in play-based learning activities. Our teachers use the Creative Curriculum to create enjoyable and educational experiences. Children learn important skills like problem-solving and collaboration through hands-on activities and games. In our Fours classes, we use the Letterland program to introduce letters and sounds in a fun way. At New Philadelphia Moravian Preschool, we believe in providing a well-rounded experience for our children. In addition to our comprehensive curriculum, we offer a variety of special programs throughout the week.
One program is Art with Ms. Sarah. Every week, our children have the opportunity to explore their creativity and develop fine motor skills under the guidance of Ms. Sarah. From painting and drawing to collaging and sculpting, our little artists are encouraged to think outside the box and express themselves through various art forms.
In addition to the artistic endeavors, our children also engage in two different music experiences three times a month. With rhythm, melody, and movement, they discover the joy of music and its transformative power. These sessions help develop their listening skills, coordination, and appreciation for the world of melodies and harmonies.
Our commitment to holistic growth extends beyond art and music. Our 3 and 4-year-old children also have the opportunity to attend Chapel with Ms. Evie, the director of Christian Education for the church. Once a month, they gather to learn about faith, kindness, and the love of God in a nurturing and age-appropriate environment.
